Class Act Canada and Sprott Shaw College are giving away a free education, but not just one education 10!! Class Act Canada is giving 1o deserving people from around the GLOBE an opportunity of a life time; a chance to win a free education. There is no criteria of what a deserving person is; the 10 deserving people will be chosen by you, the public!
The prize for the 10 students will be:
Free tuition to either Sprott Shaw College degree or diploma programs
Free books
A paid flight to and from their home town
Free accommodations and pocket money for their duration of their studies
Transportation to and from the campus and more
In order to apply to Class Act Canada to win a free education you need to make a 60 to 90 second video or audio clip or a 200 word essay with pictures and the topic of “What I would do with my Sprott Shaw education” and register on http://www.classactcanada.com and e-mail your video, audio or essay to the website; which will be posted to the Class Act Canada website. When your entry is put on the Class Act Canada website then people can vote for who they think is the deserving students! The top 100 entries with the most votes will then be selected down to the top 10 by a panel of judges!
This contest is open to everyone around the WORLD! The only rules are you must be the age of the majority of your home town (ex in Canada the age of 18) and you must be able to enter Canada (must have all the proper documents). For more information please check out http://www.classactcanada.com.

VANOC

The Vancouver 2010 Olympics are coming up fast!! Has anyone successfully purchased tickets? It is quite hard to purchase tickets for a popular events such as men’s and women’s hockey. Well I have some good news Sprott Shaw Community College has arranged a deal with VANOC.
VANOC has given Sprott Shaw volunteer positions for any student, alumni, staff, friends and family! So if you are interested in volunteering in one of the many positions being offered head down to your Sprott Shaw Community College and speak to your Director. This is a great opportunity for those who want to be apart of a great event!

Sprott Shaw’s 106th Birthday Tomorrow!!

It is Sprott-Shaw’s106th birthday tomorrow! Happy Early Birthday!! Many of our campuses will be celebrating Sprott-Shaw’s birthday tomorrow with two cakes one for the morning class and the other for the afternoon class as well as balloons and coffee!
Sprott Shaw is one of the oldest Private Colleges around. Sprott Shaw has survived economic recession, two world wars and the Great Depression. Sprott Shaw has built a solid reputation with both the private sector and the government. Sprott Shaw’s reputation is based on our training excellence as well as the reputation of the students who graduate from our programs who are able to secure a job after training.

Hello, welcome to Sprott Shaw Community College’s blog! My name is Dolly Anne and I am the high school liaison for Sprott Shaw. Part of my job is to go around to high schools speaking to students about why it’s important to continue on with their education, and about the courses Sprott Shaw offers.
